Eric was an invaluable addition to the team right through from pre-production until we were safely back home, and a pleasure to work with too. Whether it was doing a location recce, arranging permits, sourcing all manner of strange kit or helping us jump unsuspected hurdles at 4am after a long shift of night filming, Eric always handled what we needed with the professionalism and efficiency. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for production support for a shoot in South East Asia! 

I worked with Eric last year when he helped set up a complex shoot with Dame Judi Dench that involved an incredibly tight schedule essentially filming two films in the space for one. It involved filming natural history, on Islands, in jungles, along an inaccessible river, in a bat cave, in two wildlife sanctuaries and high in the canopy in a tree higher than Nelson’s Column. It went extremely smoothly. Need I say more.

Eric Madeja was our fixer for a shoot in Malaysia Borneo with British TV presenter Nick Baker. We were shooting on a very tight schedule. I strongly recommend Eric! It was fantastic to work with Eric. We hired him to organise and manage all permits and location arrangements for an episode of TERRA X, Germany’s most successful nature, history and culture documentary program. We filmed at multiple locations in two countries (Indonesia and Malaysia), and the challenging scenes included natural history, tree climbing and rigging, caving, underwater filming and more. Eric made sure all of it was perfectly organised and that the crew was always safe, sound and well-fed. His positive attitude towards finding solutions for even the most demanding situations makes him stand out from the crowd.

Eric worked with me in Malaysia for a week long BBC shoot in July. He organised all our permits, all our internal travel arrangements and set-up interviewees and locations. He joined us on location for the entire shoot and it ran very efficiently. I would absolutely work with him again!

We had the pleasure of working with Eric Madeja on multiple occasions over the last couple of years for wildlife documentary shoots – and he will be the first person I call the next time I find myself filming in Asia. It was a genuine pleasure to spend time alongside Eric Madeja on the Guinness World Record for the Longest Underwater Cleanup, in Sabah. We were covering the event for a Discovery Channel Asia documentary and Eric assisted us with access and advice regarding our crew deployment, as well as always being willing (and articulate) to appear on camera at various intervals to aid the telling of our story. I hired Eric Madeja for a photographic project I was doing on the Sea Gypsies of Sabah. Eric was very easy to work with and went beyond expectations with regards to logistics, security and local help to cover locations and keep the shoot running smooth and safe.
